Post date: Jan 04, 2019 3:12:49 PM

Marc Bertolin

Account Manager - System Product Sales, Controls, and BAS Products Distribution

Johnson Controls, Inc.

The rapid evolution of Building Automation Systems (BAS) has paralleled, and then converged with advancements in the Information Technology industry. The changes and open standards in the BAS world have brought new value for building owners with greater opportunities for energy savings, lower equipment lifecycle costs, improved occupant comfort and security, and more efficient systems maintenance. This integration with everything IT and the Internet of Things / Smart Buildings involve “new” conversations with stakeholders that may have not been involved before, a converged approach to implementation of projects, and has introduced the complications of cybersecurity into the BAS ecosphere.

Marc Bertolin has been in the building automation industry since 2002 and has held various roles including technical field support, business development and product management. His experience in supporting the products and technology for energy management and sustainability projects in Canada and the US has allowed for a unique perspective on the benefits, trends, and challenges of the smart connected building automation system. In addition, Marc works closely with Johnson Controls product development, training, marketing and sales teams.
