November Meeting

This month we are excited to have speaker Brina Splingaire. Brina works with Brucker while also pursuing her Masters in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University of Illinois. Fun Fact: she has been drag racing since she was 8 years old and currently competes in a 2022 Chevy COPO Camaro in the NHRA class called "Stock Eliminator".

Abstract:

Brina will be discussing outdoor mounted rooftop equipment that is classified as DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems) or ones that provide high percentages of outside air and where they are commonly used. She will review the process of energy recovery, calculations and terms associated with these units, and go through design considerations (frost control, furnace control, economizer, etc.) that should be taken into account when specifying the equipment.
